Privacy Policy

Handsfree (“Handsfree”, “we”, “us”) makes a mobile app that turns an on-site visit into finished paperwork. You record audio and take photos as you walk a property, and we turn that into written documents and a chat you can ask about it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address and login credentials, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). If you join or create a team, we also store your organization and role.
• Content you create. The audio you record, photos you take, transcripts, the documents we generate, your chat messages and any templates you set up.
• Usage information.Basic records needed to run the service, such as how many sessions you've recorded in a billing period (used for your plan limits) and standard log and device data.
• Payment information.If you subscribe, billing is handled by our payments provider through Clerk. We don't store your full card details.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service: transcribe your audio, line up your photos, and generate documents and chat answers.
• To manage your account, team and subscription.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your recordings, photos or documents for advertising.

How your content is processed

To turn a walk-through into paperwork, your content is processed by a small number of trusted providers acting on our behalf:

• Deepgram converts your audio to text (transcription).
• Anthropic (Claude) generates the written documents, photo descriptions and chat replies from your transcript and notes.
• Convex stores your data and files (audio, photos, documents) that power the app.
• Clerk handles sign-in, accounts, teams and billing.
• Apple distributes the app through the App Store.

These providers are contractually limited to processing your content only to provide the service to you, and not to train their own models on it.

Sharing

We share content with the providers above, with people in your own team workspace when you choose team sharing, and where required by law. We don't share it otherwise.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual inspections in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing info@meethandsfree.com. Some records may be retained where we're legally required to keep them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@meethandsfree.com.

If you're in the EEA, including Norway, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Norway that's the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously.

International transfers

Some of our providers operate in the United States and other countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live.

Children

Handsfree is for business use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email.
